Privacy Policy

Anonowl is designed as a strictly anonymous, unmoderated Peer-to-Peer (P2P) audio chat platform.

We do not record, monitor, transcribe, or store any audio streams or conversations between users.

Audio data is transmitted directly between users or temporarily routed through our signaling (TURN/STUN) servers to establish the connection. Once a call ends, no trace of the audio data remains on our servers.

We do not require user accounts or registration. Therefore, we do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, social media profiles, or dates of birth (other than age verification confirmation).

To keep the Service functional, free, and safe from abuse, we temporarily collect and process specific technical data.

We use IP addresses and randomly generated identifiers stored in your browser's LocalStorage strictly for moderation purposes. If a user receives multiple abuse reports (strikes), their IP address and token are temporarily or permanently added to a blocklist to prevent further access to the platform.

We temporarily process signaling data (required for WebRTC connections) to match users based on their selected preferences. This data is discarded immediately after the connection is closed.

To keep Anonowl free, we display non-intrusive banner advertisements during calls. We partner with third-party advertising networks to serve these ads.

These third-party networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect technical information about your device, browser, and IP address. This helps them deliver relevant, safe advertisements and measure ad performance.

We do not share any connection data or user preferences with advertisers. You can manage or disable third-party cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Anonowl is strictly restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or maintain any data from individuals under the age of 18. By accessing the Service, you verify that you meet this age requirement. If we become aware that a minor has accessed the platform, any associated technical identifiers (IP/Tokens) will be permanently blocked.

While we fully comply with applicable legal frameworks, our technical architecture ("Zero Logs") means we physically cannot provide audio recordings, chat logs, or user identities to law enforcement, as this data is never recorded or stored. We can only provide currently active technical blocklist data (IP addresses) if compelled by a valid legal order.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Effective Date" at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
